Why ultrasound for muscles and joints
- It is dynamic: we can watch the tendon or muscle while you move the joint, in exactly the position that hurts.
- It compares both sides: the healthy side can be checked to find subtle differences.
- No radiation and no noise: you don’t have to lie still inside an enclosed machine.
- Fast: you leave with your report the same day.
Dr. Peba holds a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from Universidad Anáhuac.
Frequently asked questions
Ultrasound or MRI?
For tendons, muscles, bursae and superficial ligaments, ultrasound is very useful and lets us study movement. For structures inside the joint, such as the menisci or the cruciate ligaments of the knee, an MRI is usually better. If you are not sure which one you need, message us and we will help.
Do I need any preparation?
No. Just wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being examined.
Can I have several areas examined at the same appointment?
Yes. Tell us which areas you need when you book, so we can reserve enough time.
Is it useful for sports injuries?
Yes. It is one of its most common uses: muscle tears, tendinitis and sprains, and also for following recovery.
When will I get my results?
You receive your digital report, interpreted by the radiologist, the same day.
